Scottish independence, Scotland’s ‘jolly fat man’ Alex Salmond gets really angry over getting a ‘political knock back’ from David Cameron; he is now milking his failure as his personal humiliation continues to grow, Salmond ‘spits the dummy’, man up and grow up son!

Dear All

Fresh from being utterly humiliated by Prime Minister David Cameron who gave Alex Salmond a political knock back for the offer of a head to head debate, the Scottish National Party has decided to highlight how stupid they are by carrying on the argument.

It is now a fight in an empty room!

Alex Salmond has wrongly issued a call David Cameron to reconsider his decision to take him on in a televised debate or "butt out" of the independence question although.

You run your campaign Salmond and leave others to run their one!

There is no benefit to David Cameron having a stand up argument with Alex Salmond, the best way to deal with him is to ignore him, without oxygen he will soon die off and fade away.

One can only wonder what they must be thinking in Downing Street about this sad and deluded little man called Alex Salmond.

He thinks he can pick who he fights in the indy debate.

Now, after rejection, Alex Salmond has entered the screaming like a little girl phase, we all need to wait till this passes.

Salmond has been outplayed and outwitted, and now the row between man and the little boy who never grew up has becoming increasingly rancorous.

David Cameron wrote to Salmond last week refusing to take part in a head to head televised debate before next year's referendum, the fact is this was never going to happen, and the fact the SNP put so much stock in this shows them to be really lacking in talent.

George Laird has continually highlighted the real lack of talent in the Scottish National Party.

And I am right again.

The SNP position is that the Prime Minister cannot opt out of this debate because the UK government is so heavily involved with it by producing analysis papers.

Downing Street takes the view that independence should be debated and decided among Scots.

That means that Scotland’s ‘jolly fat man’ has no choice but to face off against Better Together Campaign Leader Alistair Darling.

A fight between a man of gravitas (Darling) and a man of populism (Salmond)!

Conservative Leader David Cameron said:

"Alex Salmond wants the (referendum) question to be about anything other than the question. He would like to debate the SNP versus the Tory party or Scotland versus England. It's not. It's a debate between Scots about their future. What it should be is Alistair Darling, leader of the No campaign, and Alex Salmond, leader of the Yes Campaign."

After getting blown off SNP strategists have come up with a letter of six reasons why they have to have a head-to-head.

He wrote to Mr Cameron:

"Either you stand up and debate or butt out of the debate for good”.

Apparently the SNP leader Alex Salmond isn’t a man who believes in democracy!

But he does believe in pies and big helpings as his waistline can attest to!

Salmond added:

"The case for a head-to-head debate between us is unanswerable. You should reconsider."

Sounds like someone is ‘having a moment’!

Salmond in venting his anger also accused Mr Cameron of seeking "power without responsibility" telling him his government was "central" to the entire referendum debate.

With great power comes great responsibility….. Spiderman, as in ‘Spiderman, spiderman does whatever a spider can’.

As Alex Salmond and Scotland’s unpopular Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon slide down the slope to political 'Samageddon' at the ballot box, we should pause and remember that these two buffoons paint themselves into this corner, no one else.

Now they are paying the price for it, stupidity is a poor substitute for intelligence.

Finally, Alex Salmond has called on David Cameron to spell out UK Government's plans to cut public spending in Scotland!

Alex Salmond, the leader of the SNP clique isn’t having a good referendum campaign, Scots are ignoring him, and now the rest of the UK is blowing him off!

Act like a bam get treated like a bam!

Yours sincerely

Scottish independence: Alex Salmond and the SNP get shown up as inadequate on defence, the back of a fag packet defence proposals get ripped apart by House of Commons select committee, Salmond couldn’t win a paintball match never mind defend Scotland!

Dear All

One of the key areas in the Scottish independence debate is defence, at Westminster, the SNP has the ‘Feeble Six’ of MPs, before I go further; SNP MP Mike Weir demonstrated a master class on delivering sheer tripe on Newsnight Scotland recently.

He stated that the UK would continue to pay Scotland a subsidy for renenwables if independence was achieved in order to meet ‘their’ UK targets.

If Scotland was to leave, Scotland wouldn’t be part of ‘their’ targets and therefore he was talking complete rubbish, talk about not understanding your brief!

And let’s remember, he is paid as an MP, it raises the question what have the ‘Feeble Six’ been up to at Westminster?

Another cracker of that ‘band of brothers and one sister’ is Angus Robertson, he is an Englishman who is also an SNP MP; at present he is the Scottish National Party’s defence spokesman, another unremarkable man who also appears not to have a grasp on his brief either.

London is a big city; perhaps he does a lot of sightseeing in the Capital to while away his time in the absence of doing meaningful work.

About circa 16 months ago I was on the BBC independence debate hosted by Isobel Fraser, I was lucky and got picked to speak, so I made a statement, I clearly stated that the SNP needed to adopt NATO and keep Faslane as a nuclear submarine base. The day after I was condemned on Newsnet Scotland which is more or less a partisan bias front for the SNP, I got a lot of abuse for my pro NATO and pro nuclear stance. A recent poll on Trident found a majority in favour of keeping the nuclear deterrent.

George Laird right again on both issues and ahead of Alex Salmond!

The SNP or to be more exact Salmond changed to NATO, not on principle on the basis that he couldn’t sell to Scots that we should be a non NATO country. Simply put not being part of the ‘allies’ didn’t well with Scottish people.

Defence has always been a problem for the Scottish National Party because they don’t have a clue about what they are talking about at any level. This is painful shown in their campaign to ‘save’ three airbases in Scotland then only to turn around and say later that Scotland needed only one airbase for independence. I could say that rUK got it right on closure but that wouldn’t be the truth, Scotland needs more than one military air field. In times of emergency then civilian airfields would be taken over for military use, presumably that isn’t in the SNP white paper for independence because that document is going to be detail lite. It will however be full of meaningless pap causing the death of a quite a few trees in the process!

The Scottish National Party is hailed by Alex Salmond and Scotland’s unpopular Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon as some modern progressive party which has all the answers. The truth is rather more complex, the SNP is full of malcontents in senior positions of people who aren’t nationalists. What they actually are is open to question, some are members of other organizations which use the SNP as a vehicle for their brand of politics such as CND.

That is why the SNP comes across as bams in many key policy areas, so what is a bam and where do they group?

Well the SNP has a CND group; they are the gatekeepers of the anti nuclear policy of the last 30 years, 30 years of the SNP getting it wrong, year in and year out. These people think they are some kind of intellectuals but the reality is that they are the lunatic fringe. They made the SNP more or less unelected at every Westminster election, in the modern world of international politics they are dinosaurs. The party however needed these people to keep it run as it stitched together a coalition of malcontents to keep it running

So when it comes to the tin lid of nutty SNP policies it is exceedingly difficult to rank them in any sort of order because many are just plain daft.

However, I have always had an interest in defence, so when Englishman Angus Robertson talks about defending my country of Scotland, I cast an eye over it, not for knowledge but to see if there is any improvement on the last deluded effort to leave his mouth.

The Commons defence select committee at Westminster is more than slightly partisan, so when reading their stuff, it is always handy to read between the lines and do your own research elsewhere. They like to do a bit of patronising which given the SNP performance on defence is understandable as Team Salmond is particularly clueless.

SNP MP Angus Robertson defence spokesman …… fuck off that shite!

The Commons defence select committee has been looking at the SNP's proposals for an independent Scotland's armed forces, and they have given the plans the contempt they deserve, by a pretty thorough thrashing.

The SNP has deliberately kept all their policies vague; that has been a major mistake, the reason is simple, the Nationalists haven’t done the work in any shape or form. That was a double edge sword for them; again, Alex Salmond and Nicola Sturgeon thought by leaving no time for proper scrutiny, people would just vote using an emotional response.

They thought they could literally bounce people into a Yes vote.

Well, things have bounced back and hit them square in the face, leaving aside the nonsense of Yes Scotland the SNP front and the other stupid ideas of setting up phoney groups run by SNP members, a detailed and crafted approach was always necessary, this didn’t happen, the Scottish independence campaign was needed to be run as a ‘special’ event, the SNP were supposed to put together a Ferrari of a campaign instead, Scots got a ride on lawn-mover and the SNP treated it as such. When people saw what the SNP had done, they rightly turned their backs on it, selling a lawn-mover as a Ferrari has a limited appeal to a few suckers.

The SNP need to deliver an honest assessment of how they'd defend Scotland properly in the event of attack and modern warfare is merely guns, bombs and bullets, new forms of warfare have emerged; cyber warfare and financial warfare take prominence now. Finance has we have seen can literally bring a country to its knees. Then there is the terrorist threat, the West has seen only too graphically how that can pan out with 9/11 and 7/7 events.

When I stated the SNP should adopt NATO and pro Faslane, the SNP in a monumentally stupid move, failed to deliver both at the next party conference, Alex Salmond bludgeoned NATO through while at the same time expelling Trident.

You can’t have one without having the other, it was a complete contradiction in every sense of the word and a huge mistake not to go the full road, the half way house approach was and is a disaster, it failed to neturalise American objections, although they say they are publicly neutral, they aren’t, they are rightly concerned that ‘cranks’ in a political party don’t understand the wider international picture.

NATO was founded in 1948, it is and has been the cornerstone of defence in the West ever since, it is true however that bad decision have been made by the individual countries such as the USA and UK in recent years but the alliance is still sound.

28 countries make up NATO; only 3 of the 28 Nato countries the USA, Britain and France possessed nuclear weapons.

The SNP point to the fact that the other 25 don’t have nuclear weapons however, they have all signed up to the NATO protocols; and those protocols state that they can’t expel the nuclear weapons of a fellow member. If you sign up to NATO it is on NATO’s terms, you don’t get to pick the bits you like; it isn’t like a buffet.

An independent Scotland won’t get NATO membership on their proposal to expel nuclear weapons; and as to this partnership for peace which has been mooted by people in the SNP that is just stupid, juvenile students politics.

The SNP says it will commit £2.5 billion a year to defence plus they state that they will get a share of British defence assets, that negotiations isn’t as simple as it seems, in fact it could stretch well past 2016. Each Nato country, under the terms of membership, must be responsible for its own air defence, seems logical, however, the Scottish air force if it gets its share of fast jets would have 10 of 100 jets currently in services with the RAF.

10 fast jets isn’t enough and analysis suggest that three times that number would be required as a minimum, and lets us remember for a minute, these planes aren’t cheap, Scotland could be forking out between £780 million and £1.7 billion.

£2.5 billion for an annual defence budget!

Then comes the Scottish Navy, the cost of a surface fleet is going to be cheap, again, the SNP say only one naval base in Scotland, in case you don’t know how ‘their ‘ defence plans come from, well the SNP is alleged to have cut and pasted them from a UK defence review. However, that review was for all of the UK and not solely Scotland. How big would the Scottish Navy be and what capacity would it have if it had to respond to a NATO request if membership was granted? No one knows, on the issue of land forces, the SNP plans are for a mobile brigade, this means about 15,000 personnel. Bizarre, the SNP made a stupid promise of a job for life if people sign up for the Scottish Army. In an unofficial poll, most Scots serving in the UK Army vote No to joining Alex Salmond’s Army.

No!

The reasons are varied, one of them is that people get better and more opportunities as part of the UK Forces, the SNP cannot match the offer of the UK. Scottish Officers would have to be trained at Sandhurst, two reasons, the training is excellent and secondly Scotland can’t support an officer training school, the talent and skills aren’t available. It would take decades to get that up and running to UK standards, in the meantime, this training would have to be outsourced. Although the UK made noises that such training would not be available, I would reject such an assertion, Scotland would remain a Commonwealth country if independent so would have a strong case for entry to Sandhurst, in politics a number of red herrings are flung about the place on both sides, however the SNP need to deal with the facts. This Scottish independence campaign is effectively over, over and killed off due to stupidity and poor judgment.

Alex Salmond will be the first SNP First Minister of Scotland to lose a Scottish independence vote.

Nicola Sturgeon will be the first SNP Deputy First Minister of Scotland to lose a Scottish independence vote.

The Scottish National Party is run as a party within a party for the benefit of a select few, what they are now finding out is that they don’t have their talent in the ranks to generate big ideas and vision.

They have a problem which is embodied in a ‘cult of personality’ around one man Alex Salmond, he is surrounded by a motley group of people who're "feart" to debate with him, his own sycophantic ministers and backbenchers who aren’t the cream of Scotland’s political talent, quite the opposite.

Yours sincerely

Scottish independence, Alex Salmond accuses David Cameron of being 'feart' for refusing to take part in Salmond’s circus, rather than shutting up, the SNP milk their failure as some sort of victory, is there seriously anyone scared of a man who is married to a woman old enough to be his mother?

Dear All

After being blown off as insignificant, David Cameron has been branded a "big fearty" by the Scottish Government.

The SNP have lost the moral high ground after Cameron for refusing to engage in a live TV debate on independence with Alex Salmond, now they are reduced to trying to spin this as a ‘victory’!

How is it a victory when Alex Salmond is standing with his political trousers down around his ankles, he is every inch a complete knob!

In the tit for tat exchanges, Salmond has been accused of ducking.

Accused of "running scared", of facing a head to head with ‘man of gravitas’; Alistair Darling, the head of Better Together.

Salmond has so far refused to debate independence with former Labour Chancellor, on the basis that as FM he thinks he should face Cameron.

Last week, Alex Salmopnd was running off at the mouth as he and the SNP strategists attempted to secure a live head-to-head debate on St Andrews Day.

That was never going to happen, Cameron doesn’t dance to Salmond’s tune; it’s the other way around.

In a letter of folly to Downing Street, Scotland’s ‘jolly fat man’ stressed how the Prime Minister and the UK Government were spearheading the No campaign. Salmond’s reasoning behind the challenge is that because the UK Government has published anti-independence analysis papers and so it was only right for them to debate!

That is contrary to what Alex Salmond said to David Cameron over a year ago instructing him to “butt out” because this was a matter for Scottish people.

Now Salmond wants Cameron to “butt in” because it suits his purpose, the reason for a “butt in” is that Alex Salmond’s campaign has completely failed, there isn’t going to be an independent Scotland because Scottish people don’t trust Alex Salmond and Nicola Sturgeon’s word.

Trust has gone.

Why did trust go?

The reason is simple, Salmond and Sturgeon thought they could con the Scottish people using a stupid look on Salmond’s face, screaming they represent and stand up for Scotland, a few street stalls, a few vague promises, no plan, no vision and no work done!

Then Scottish people were all supposed to line up like sheep and go vote Yes; putting their future on the line and that of their children and communities!

If there was ever a master class on how not to win an independence campaign then the Alex Salmond and the SNP should make a few bob.

Yesterday, when Cameron wrote back to Salmond, he made the point that the SNP leader, was trying to use a live head-to-head between them as a distraction.

The Prime Minister told Salmond:

"It is entirely right for you to place yourself at the head of the Yes campaign but not to decide who should lead for the No campaign too. It is a well understood and reasonable principle that you get to pick your own team's captain but not your opponent's as well."

He added:

"The lack of credibility of your plans for a currency union, funding pensions and managing volatile oil revenues"! Cameron also mentioned the rather clumsy tactic of Salmond of wanting to make the independence debate to be an argument between "you and me, the Scottish Government and UK Government, the SNP and Conservative Party."

The reality is that this independence debate is between Salmond VS the people of Scotland.

The Scottish Government decision to brand Mr Cameron a "big fearty" yet again shows what I keep saying; there is a real lack of talent in the Scottish National Party.

Having been told to fuck off, the SNP decided to milk their failure publicly, a load of clowns, and let’s get it right, the idea was stupid in the first place, that should never have been allowed to go public.

The First Minister said:

"His refusal to debate Scotland's future with me can be summed up in one word, feart."

Alex Salmond is such a stupid little man, it can only be a matter of time before SNP people internally will be calling for him and Nicola Sturgeon to go, Scotland needs a Nationalist leader for the SNP, not a prima donna bastard who has outlived his usefulness.

The only place he could lead Scotland is to a pie shop, no one takes him seriously any more, he has a lot to answer for, and 18th September 2014, Scotland gets its chance.

And the answer is No!

Yours sincerely

Scottish independence: Prime Minister David Cameron tells Alex Salmond: ‘you don't pick who you debate indyref with’, Salmond married to a woman old enough to be his mother gets a devastating political knockback, he is looking sad and pathetic now

Dear All

The Prime Minister of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has formally refused to go head-to-head with Scotland's ‘jolly fat man’ Alex Salmond.

The First Minister of Scotland who is married to a woman old enough to be his mother is desperate for a televised debate on the independence referendum.

He is desperate, but let us look at the facts, Alex Salmond is as I said is married to a woman old enough to be his mother, he combs his hair forward to make out he has a full head of hair and his gut is hanging out all over the place like a woman having triplets.

Salmond should have some respect for the Office of Prime Minister.

In a devastating move, David Cameron has said the issue is a matter for "Scots living in Scotland" and should not become a glorified general election.

Anyone who has a feeble grasp of politics would have known that there was no way on God’s Earth that David Cameron would debate with Alex Salmond.

Alex Salmond has lost the eScottish independence referendum, because Salmond is a fool, he is a clown, he is a buffoon and he is well out of his depth.

He has no one to work for him and his “cronies” which include the Sturgeon clique are just trash!

David Cameron wrote his knock back in a letter to Alex Salmond which effectively destroys any chance of a grudge, grievance and malcontent fixture between Scotland and England.

The only fixture on the cards is Scotland VS Alex Salmond.

Any TV debate should instead involve Alistair Darling, the Labour MP leading the Better Together and Alex Salmond, the move also shuts out Scotland’s unpopular Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, little Miss Unpopular with her ‘wee angry Nat’ routine.

Alex Salmond is no statesman.

Cameron wrote:

"It is a well understood and reasonable principle that you get to pick your own team's captain, but not your opponent's as well."

Salmond slapped down across his fat jowls!

The Tory leader added:

"I understand why you might wish to pursue a diversionary tactic. It is a convenient means of deflecting attention away from the real issues - the lack of credibility of your plans for a currency union, funding pensions and managing volatile oil revenues. You want the independence debate to be an argument between you and me; the Scottish Government and UK Government; the SNP and Conservative Party - in fact anything rather than what it really is about. Nor is your argument with the rest of the United Kingdom, it is with the people in Scotland."

Alex Salmond, the little boy who never grew up, married to a woman old enough to be his mother firmly put in his place, in truth anyone who is prepared to stand up could have done what David Cameron has down.

Short version!

Fuck off!

Something which Cameron appeared to mouth to English SNP MP Angus Robertson over the dispatch box, who is an annoying not so little shit.

Cameron also makes the point that the consequences of the vote on September 18 next year will be "irreversible".

Adding:

"The referendum is therefore too important to be reduced to the status of some glorified general election. People should cast their vote in the knowledge that they are deciding not just for themselves, but also for their children, grandchildren and succeeding generations. It is for people in Scotland to decide. And it is right for you and Alistair Darling - as the leaders of the respective campaigns, with votes to cast as well as votes to win - to debate head-to-head on TV."

The rebuff clearly shows what I have always said on this blog, there is a genuine lack of talent in the Scottish National Party.

George Laird right again.

This stupid and ill judged maneuver was always going to blow up in Alex Salmond’s face, how could he have not spotted it?

Now, he will have to go with his tail between his legs and beg Alastair Darling for a head to head, another failure and another reason why independence support has collapsed, being ‘cute’ isn’t smart.

Yours sincerely

Falkirk MP Eric Joyce denies Edinburgh Airport row charges, his political career is in tatters, Sheriff Kenneth Maciver set a trial date for March 31, he leaves Westminster in disgrace, which is no way to finish public life

Dear All

The say in politics that everyone’s career ends in failure, however some people’s career ends in farce.

Falkirk MP Eric Joyce was once a high flyer in the Labour Party, at one point it rather looked like he would end up a Labour Minister.

Then for some reason, his career took a turn for the worse and imploded in a spectacular fashion.

He leaves Westminster in disgrace after a few brawls which shouldn’t have happened, even fighting in the House of Commons bar.

That kind of behavior is well below what is expected as a member, when I heard about it, I couldn’t believe it, but it’s true.

Then there was the drink driving episode, again, well below what is expected as a member of the Commons.

You can be arse before entering parliament, an arse in it, and an arse after you leave, but there are standards to be maintained, like the dignity of the House of Commons to consider.

Now, Falkirk MP Eric Joyce is to stand trial after denying using threatening or abusive behaviour at Edinburgh Airport earlier this year.

He entered not guilty pleas to three charges at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

The charges say that the former Army major is alleged to have repeatedly shouted, sworn and made offensive remarks at the airport on 19 May.

Joyce pleaded not guilty to resisting constables Alan Hazelwood and John Miller at the airport and on the way to the city's St Leonard's police station.

It is also alleged that Joyce struggled violently and tried to kick the officers.

He is innocent until proven guilty.

A trial date of 31 March, 2014, was set by Sheriff Kenneth Maciver.

This is no way to end his political career, clearly something is wrong with him and been so for some time, perhaps he might realise that he should go and seek some kind of help.

Yours sincerely

Celtic manager Neil Lennon banned from driving after speeding on notorious A9, he brands the guilty verdict nonsense, maybe he should ‘campaign’ for an exemption to the Laws of Scotland since he clearly doesn’t like guilty verdicts, jog on son!

Dear All

If you get caught speeding, you have no one to blame but yourself.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has been banned from driving for six months after being found guilty of speeding.

The spot that he was playing ‘boyracer; is a notorious accident blackspot on the A9 in Perthshire.

The A9 is a dangerous road, when people were wondering how to help reduce fatalities, my first thought was that average speed cameras was the right solution, I am sure you can google and find my suggestion somewhere. It also turned out to be the view of the Transport Minister a few days later.

Anyway, rather than lump it and be stoic, Neil Lennon has decided he is not happy with the verdict, well you wouldn’t be.

In a show of the petted lip, he has branded the verdict "nonsense."

He was disqualified under the totting up procedure, if you accumulate too many points, then you get banned, Lennon, 42, already had nine points on his driving licence when he was caught.

The solution to any speeding problem is simple, you leave earlier.

Neil Lennon obviously likes driving, and why shouldn’t he; it’s fun, however Lennon seems to need to retake his driving test in my opinion, he was cleared on a technicality on another driving charge just weeks ago.

His continual habit of trying to use loopholes to avoid being found guilty isn’t terribly dignified in his position!

He is supposed to be a role model, perhaps he should act like one.

However, you have to admire his cheek, as he tried to persuade Perth's Justice of the Peace Court that the Gatso radar machine that clocked him driving at 83 miles per hour was not accurate.

His ‘brief’, Liam O'Donnell, wanted the case to be thrown out on its ear because the certificate produced by the Crown in evidence made no mention of the Gatso being accurate at the time.

Some people will try it on, but in Lennon’s case, Justice of the Peace Allan Robertson rejected the no case to answer submission.

Then he found Lennon guilty of speeding on the Perth-Stirling dual carriageway.

Mr Robertson said:

"I have taken time to consider all the evidence before me and I believe the Crown has put forward the case beyond reasonable doubt and therefore I find you guilty. You were sitting on nine live points and when somebody reaches that tally they should be very careful about how they conduct themselves on the road. I am going to add four penalty points to your licence, which will take you over the threshold for totting up [12 points] and you will incur a six-month disqualification from driving."

Win some lose some!

Neil Lennon was also fined £260 and given one month to pay the fine in full.

He got off cheap on the fine, so happy endings all round it seems, bar one, the Crown is happy, the public are happy, his lawyer is happy.

Lennon added:

"You saw it for yourself. I do want to say something about it."

Maybe given the circumstances of Scottish independence going so badly for Alex Salmond and Scotland’s unpopular Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon that Neil Lennon should apply for an exemption from the Laws of Scotland on the sole basis he doesn’t like guilty verdicts.

Yours sincerely

The Scottish National Party uses a saying, “it’s not where you come from that is important, but where you are going”, one of Alex Salmond’s rising stars faces a date in Court over election expenses, question, does that “it’s not” include prison?

Dear All

It seems that one of Alex Salmond’s former rising stars, Highland Council's youngest member Alex MacLeod has resigned.

Hero no more, a hero is down!

He is facing allegations about his election expenses.

As I recall, someone dobbed him in, apparently the tip came from an unnamed individual, it seems that the SNP isn’t a united party as Salmond and Sturgeon would have you believe.

Mr MacLeod studied Law at Edinburgh University which means he has a few brain cells upstairs; he was also very active in the Young Scots for Independence organization. , he rose up in that organization to the position of National Secretary.

In 2010 he was appointed a Parliamentary Assistant to the SNP MSP Rob Gibson.

McLeod was also his Campaign Manager in the 2011 election when Gibson captured the Caithness, Sutherland and Ross seat from the Lib-Dems.

McLeod also worked for First Minister Alex Salmond, he worked for the First Minister for 10 months in Edinburgh and Aberdeen handling parliamentary and constituency work after he left school.

Prior to last year’s elections, Mr Salmond had urged voters to back the teenager and described him as a "grafter".

Given all this, I guess the ‘I’m a bam defence’ isn’t able to be used.

Alex MacLeod was elected as a councillor in May when he was aged just 19.

He was pretty young to be a councilor and it is a shame that his career should end in such a bad note.

In December, he was reported to the procurator fiscal by police, in connection with alleged offences under the Representation of the People Act 1983.

A council spokesman said the local authority had received notice via e-mail of Mr MacLeod's intention to tender his resignation with immediate effect.

It is a rather unfortunate end to his political career, he had ticked all the boxes for a successful career ahead, however; his focus should have been on making sure his legal obligations were in order.

MacLeod had also previously resigned from Highland Council's SNP group when the scandal broke.

It seems that everything is falling apart in the SNP, awhile ago I proposed training hubs to Scotland's unpopular Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon as an idea to improve the quality of SNP candidates, like many a good idea of mine, it was ignored.

What a pity for Mr. McLeod.

Dunfermline by-election campaign turns nasty, Labour anger as Nationalist candidate refuses to apologise for ‘SNP women beating’, Scotland’s unpopular Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon & SNP want to talk 'local', “Bitch, you can stop right there.”

Dear All

The Dunfermline by-election is probably the first by-election that is going to be fought in Scotland over sustained SNP wife beating.

Nationalist ‘hero’ Bill Walker, a close personal friend of Scotland’s unpopular Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has been jailed for 12 months by Sheriff Katherine MacKie.

So far, Nicola Sturgeon hasn’t visited her pal in prison, two buddies separate by a rather large and high prison wall.

As to the Dunfermline by-election, the SNP wife beating by-election, both the SNP and Labour have launched angry attacks on each other as expected.

The Dunfermline by-election campaign has turned nasty.

In one corner, Labour standing up for women and the other corner, the SNP trying to protect Nicola Sturgeon and her husband Peter Murrell.

The “mud-slinging” will be in full flow, ‘SNP supporting wife beaters’ are in town to show they ‘care’ about women.

The SNP don’t want to talk about Nicola’s pal, Bill Walker, they want to focus on issues that “matter” to people in the town.

Wife beating doesn’t matter in Dunfermline?

Say whit!!!!

Nationalists have started their feeble campaign by attacked the Labour run Fife council over local school closures.

Quite so ma’am but what did Nicola Sturgeon know about SNP MSP Bill Walker smashing women’s faces in?

When did Nicola Sturgeon know?

What did Nicola Sturgeon do?

Who did the SNP investigation?

Was it Nicola Sturgeon’s husband Peter Murrell?

What qualifications did the SNP investigator have to run an investigation?

Labour has rightly stepped up calls for the SNP to apologise over the Bill Walker scandal which brought about this by-election.

But so far, the SNP hasn’t paid the ‘blood price’ no one has been sacked, it is busy as usual screwing over the working class.

Bill Walker isn’t the only SNP scandal in the party, Alex Salmond runs the SNP as a one man band, and the ‘tune’ of the band is ‘fuck the poor’.

Bill Walker took the seat for the SNP in 2011 due to the landslide with a majority of just 630, the tide has now turned for the Nationalist.

Labour’s candidate Cara Hilton is favourite to win the by-election which is held on October 24.

Standing for the SNP is Shirley-Anne Somerville, she wants to desert Yes Scotland as many have done in the past, the Scottish independence campaign is dead, no one is sticking around to help Nicola Sturgeon out unless they are getting a ‘pay day’.

Somerville said:

“The need for an SNP vote in the Dunfermline by-election is highlighted by Labour run Fife council’s planned school closures - which I am campaigning with local parents against. Local schools are not the only key provision which require an SNP vote to protect. The Council Tax freeze, free personal care for older citizens, no tuition fees for young Scots, free bus travel for the over-60s, and no bridge tolls across the Forth are only guaranteed a secure future by voting SNP in the by-election.”

No one gives a shite about the local issues; there is one issue, one issue only, SNP wife beating, punishment of Alex Salmond, Nicola Sturgeon and her odious husband Peter Murrell.

Ms Hilton for Labour said:

“It’s now a week since Shirley-Anne Somerville was selected to be the SNP’s candidate for the Dunfermline by-election. In these seven days, she has singularly failed to apologise to the people of Dunfermline for allowing the SNP to ignore the warnings about Bill Walker and selecting him for this constituency. The apology is all the more important because the warnings go back as far as 2008 and Walker was defended by senior SNP members in Fife when the allegations were published in a Scottish newspaper last year. Dunfermline deserves better than this.”

Strong words from the future Labour MSP, the public want to see an MSP speaking out, and this by-election is a great opportunity.

Tory candidate James Reekie said the behaviour of the two main parties is leaving voters “exasperated” with politics.

James has a point, however, this is a fight, and he isn’t getting into the ring on this occasion, he has no chance, but its good experience nonetheless. His vote went backwards in 2011 when he last stood.

He said:

“When the gloves are off in the heat of a by-election, they just can’t seem to help themselves. That’s not what people want to see - they want a mature debate on issues of daily importance to them.”

When will Scotland’s unpopular Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon arrive in Dunfermline to express how SNP wife beating makes her sick to her stomach with her nasty, vile and poisonous Glasgow Southside clique?

How knows, one thing they will have is a big smile and an oily grin as they try to hoodwink the voters.

As to the SNP candidate, Shirley-Anne Somerville, she looks like she will be going back to Yes Scotland, what price loyalty, something that Ms. Sturgeon appears not to engender in her supporters.

I wonder if Ms. Hilton will use a quote from the movie Kill Bill when Scotland’s unpopular Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon tries to avoid SNP wife beating questions on the campaign trail:

“Bitch, you can stop right there.”

Yours sincerely

Scottish independence: the SNP has so far made £32 billion of independence spending pledges, there are no details, no one knows how it will be paid for; Alex Salmond is like a kid in a pie shop wanting to ‘grab the goodies’, Scots to pay the bill later!

Dear All

The SNP Government is so desperate for a vote that they have so far made £32 billion of spending pledges for an independent Scotland.

However, despite promising the Earth, they aren’t saying how they would be paid for and sustainable funding although terribly untrendy is a hard fact of life that Alex Salmond and Nicola Sturgeon can’t escape from.

The new pledges yet again are a clear marker that the Scottish independence campaign is bogus!

It is one massive political fraud that is being attempted to be fostered on the Scottish people.

There is no detail.

Do you want a herd of camels?

Stick around some fool will promise you it eventually in the SNP.

The reality that we all live in there is no such thing as a ‘free lunch’, someone somewhere is paying for it.

The SNP is making "extravagant" promises because they know that they won’t deliver on them, like the Lib Dems, they have drawn up a wish list, and will sell it for votes, but just as the Lib Dems sold out the people so will Salmond.

One of the country’s most senior pension experts has said that the latest SNP pledge to examine lowering the retirement age would require “big cuts” to public services.

I have stated and stated and stated, that public sector reform was the task of the second SNP term, it never happened.

So, George Laird right again, but also ahead of the curve.

Better Together is going through the SNP wish list that has released 17 spending commitments for an independent Scotland made by the SNP.

These covering areas such as pensions and defence, and the commitments look very shaky indeed.

The total of £32.1 billion includes an estimated £6 billion which is the  cost of reversing the UK Government’s plan to increase the state pension age to 67.
That latest Nationalist suggestion was unveiled at the weekend and should never have been made, it is sheer tripe.

This Yes Campaign is looking more and more bizarre, it shows up Salmond and Sturgeon as a pair of buffoons, renationalising the Royal Mail and higher annual increases in the state pension!

Does the Scottish Government realize how inept such nonsense looks to ordinary people?

Salmond opens his mouth and roars out un-costed promises as if he was a ‘wean’ in a sweet shop.

The Institute for Fiscal Studies is on the case and warned Scotland faces making £5.9 billion of tax increases and spending cuts immediately after independence.

This is need because if not, nothing would be able to stabilise its finances, then Scotland would slide down hill so fast that we would be like Greece, except they have better weather and life expectancy.

Alistair Darling, the former Chancellor and leader of Better Together has condemned Alex Salmond for making “false promises.”

He said:

“Experts have repeatedly warned of the costs of independence as oil revenues decline and our population ages more rapidly than the rest of the UK. Yet the nationalists continue to make extraordinary promises without telling us how they would pay for them.”

Darling added:

“Over the next few weeks, to try to get his struggling campaign back on track, Alex Salmond will make ever more extravagant claims. He is either making false promises he cannot pay for or he is planning big tax rises.”

On the pensions report SNP ministers have provided no calculations for how much this would costed.

With the continuous neverendum of false promises, John Swinney is looking helpless as his reputation is dragged through the gutter by Salmond and Sturgeon.

Ronnie Bowie, a senior partner with pension consultancy Hymans Robertson, said the “burden on the public purse will increase substantially if nothing is done” to reform the state pension.

That means cuts to services, huge cuts, we would see the poor and vulnerable driven over the edge; poverty and hardship beyond belief all provided by your friendly neighbourhood ‘fat man’, Alex Salmond.
Bowie added:

“Those are big numbers and if the Scottish Government chose to keep the current state pension age, it’s going to have to be paid for. It’s not going to be paid through tinkering around the edges – something big is going to have to be cut to pay for it.”

SNP ministers have pointed out that life expectancy is lower north of the Border.

So calculations based on hoping people die quick?

Is that how the SNP think they will balance the books, hope and aspiration of you dying early?

If you want to know how bad the SNP campaign is looking at this point, Alex Salmond suddenly promised to renationalise the Royal Mail, just hours before his Finance Minister John Swinney said it was “impossible” to predict if this would happen after independence is a corker.

I would suggest to you that something stinks to high heaven.

Yours sincerely

Scottish independence: a humble Glaswegian pottering about the place assessment of how successful Alex Salmond and Scotland's unpopular Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon's efforts have been to date, dueling banjo's version

Scottish independence: Better Together completely rules out a head to head TV debate between David Cameron and Alex Salmond, Scotland’s ‘jolly fat man’ is fast running out of options, Salmond VS Scotland match looks like the only gig in town

Dear All

It seems that the ‘big battle’ between Prime Minister David Cameron and Alex Salmond isn’t going to happen.

In the Red corner is David Cameron, a man with a young wife, a full head of hair and a reasonably flat stomach.

In the blue corner, Alex Salmond, a man married to a woman old enough to be his mother, losing his hair, and a gut hanging out all over the place.

It is as the coalition sources say as "a non-starter".

Alex Salmond is desperate, and recent outbursts of un-costed promises show him up as a fantasist.

Re-nationalise Royal Mail is a non starter and the newest idea of retire a year early when the trends all over Europe is to keep people working for longer will not happen either.

Nordic Welfare?

Bullshit as well.

“We are off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz.”

Always liked that movie, now Salmond is a man who will say anything that sounds good, and then there is the issue of the financial black hole in Scotland’s finances.

Plan for that?

Nope!

Alistair Darling, of Better Together campaign, says that Salmond is engaging in the politics of deflection.

The idea that David Cameron was ever going to do a TV head-to-head with Scotland’s ‘jolly fat man’ was never going to happen, you don’t get in the way of someone who is burying themselves, you stand back and let them get on with it.

Alastair Darling says that he speaks for Scotland on the independence issue, and has promptly threw down the gauntlet to challenge the First Minister to debate with him.

Salmond’s position is that Blair Jenkins, the disastrous leader of Yes Scotland is more appropriate opponent for Mr Darling.

One senior Whitehall insider said:

"The Scottish Government might continue to bang away at this, but it's a non-starter. There is absolutely no way the Prime Minister will debate with Salmond. This is not about Salmond versus Cameron. This is about Salmond versus Scotland."

Quite so ma’am!

In a new begging letter to the Prime Minister, Salmond insisted:

"It is not possible, with any degree of consistency or credibility, to involve yourself and your government so centrally in the referendum process and then refuse to publicly debate these very issues."

Someone bring a chicken in here?

The Unionist side has rightly thought-out that their campaign should be led by Scottish voices.

And what is the devastating thinking to counter this move?

Whether Salmond likes it or not, he will have to step into the ring with Alastair Darling at some point.

Things are going really badly, no George Laird radical thinking.

The biggest laugh of the indy rally on Saturday for me was Aamer Anwar from Glasgow University, standing beside Blair Jenkins.

He is a Sturgeon crony, I remember him from my time at university; he wasn’t liked. He is a Sturgeon crony as I said, and a reason why Scotland should vote No.

When I saw him, it really did reinforce in me that I am not giving Alex Salmond and Scotland’s unpopular Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, my vote September 2014.

Aamer Anwar is a complete prick!

Open letter to Hamish, “Let he who is without fat shed the first stone”. Alex Salmond is a man married to a woman old enough to be his mother, he combs his hair forward, his massive gut looks like he is having triplets, and he has lost Scottish independence, your hero?

Dear Hamish

“Let he who is without fat shed the first stone. Go on, George, post a recent photograph of yourself”.

Hamish, I am sorry that you appear to be upset, and what is the cause of this unhappiness?

I am sorry, I won’t be posting a photograph, I will not enter into a contest with Alex Salmond, a man who is married to a woman old enough to be his mother.

I won’t be entering into a contest with Alex Salmond who combs his hair forward to make out he still has a full head of hair.

I won’t be entering into a contest with Alex Salmond, a man who has a gut hanging out all over the place like a pregnant woman expecting triplets.

“I'm guessing that the erstwhile fitness instructor has put on a few pounds sitting in front of a computer screen all day”.

At Glasgow University, I was regarded the best fitness instructor in my field, and had no equal, I am sure this was common knowledge at the university.

So, please don’t write me off as just an “erstwhile fitness instructor”, people I taught entered international competition, including the Olympics.

“Most of us have”.

We all have problems; perhaps if you did activism you could lose a few pounds, the SNP love suckers who are prepared to do menial Labour while they sit in their homes.

Willing to be a sucker? Done sucker work yet?

Speaking out at what a complete shambles Salmond and Sturgeon have made of the Yes Campaign?

This jealous stuff is really reeking out of you rather badly Hamish, a by product of your middle class upbringing.

Finally, everyone has fat, however Alex Salmond is clinically obese, married to a woman who is old enough to be his mother and combs his hair forward, to you he is a hero.

To others a real prick!

Yours sincerely

Scottish independence: Alex Salmond and Yes campaigners rally in Edinburgh, only 8,000 people turn up, it’s another cringingly embarrassing flop for Salmond and Scotland’s unpopular Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, still how do you organize 8,000 ugly people in the one place, indy rally!

Dear All

Freedommmmmmmmmm!

Well, it is Saturday, September 21, 2013, the big independence march in Edinburgh.

According to Police Scotland only 8,000 people turned up.

8,000 people, what a remarkable flop again.

The last time that a gathering was held 5,000 people came, you could argue that a 3,000 improvement is good.

However, Scotland has a population in the region of 5,000,000 million.

Thousands of pro-independence campaigners have marched through the streets of Edinburgh in support of their failing cause.

You could probably get a big crowd for Greggs the Bakers!

They do Steak Bakes which are out of this world, and the bridies used to be superb.

But the changed the recipe.

The March for a better tomorrow for rich people started on the High Street and ended with a rally on the city's Calton Hill.

Wow!

But hardly 500 miles; would I walk five hundred miles?

Not for Alex Salmond and Nicola Sturgeon’s poisonous vision.

The main Rally for Scottish Independence is the second of three “large” marches to held in the run up to next year's referendum.

This begs the question, when is the first "large" rally going to take place?

The handful of punters wandering about the place hardly represents momentum.

Police Scotland; who is independent estimated the numbers at more around the 8,000 mark.

Yes Organisers said between 20,000 and 30,000 were involved in the events.

Really?
The SNP and their front Yes Scotland are keen to sell that a range of groups are taking apart in their campaign.

As to this little stroll around Edinburgh, they say that political parties to organisations such as Farming for YES and Football Supporters for Independence were out in force.

Less we forget, SNP members front many of these organizations, it was a stupid idea, and to be blunt, bullshit.

In trying to create an atmosphere, many of the punters, assembled waved flags or held banners in support of their cause.

Wow!

Speakers at the rally include Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond, along with the usual suspects, Elaine C Smith, independent MSP Margo MacDonald, Scottish Green Party co-convener Patrick Harvie and Yes Scotland chief executive Blair Jenkins.

Mr Jenkins said:

"The biggest prize from a Yes next year is not that we will never again have Tory governments we didn't vote for - important though that is for the well-being of our society. Instead it is having the ability to make Scotland's great wealth, talent and resources work better for the people who live here."

So, not Scotland for the Scots, I wonder if the working class doing the grunt work realise that they aren’t campaigning for a better Scotland for them?

Patently not, it’s for rich people stupid!

And more fool them for doing so, I was conned myself, so I am not too hard on those who still believe in something that doesn’t exist, fairness, equality and social justice in the Scottish National Party under Alex Salmond and Nicola Sturgeon.

Jenkins added:

“When we take time to examine the facts people from all walks of Scottish life - pensioners, parents, students, business-people, women, seniors, people across society - see that a Yes vote makes sense for us as a nation and for us as individuals."

Jenkins should be sacked, I have always held that opinion, he doesn’t impress me, or the public, the polls say No!

In his speech, Jenkins made an impassioned plea to campaigners to go out into communities with ever more vigour and optimism over the next 12 months.

There is hardly anyone wanting to work for the Scottish National Party, and given the way they treat others, I am not surprised.

As to the Yes people going out to communities, that is just the SNP.

The SNP rebranded their branches as Yes whoever, but it is still the SNP.

8,000 people, not doing a terribly good job Alex Salmond, you get more people at a single football game than at an indy march.

Patently Scots aren’t buying, there are many reasons, unfortunately it seems that Scotland’s ‘jolly fat man’ Alex Salmond and Scotland’s unpopular Deputy First Minster Nicola Sturgeon don’t understand the problems.

As to the march hardly Catalonia standards is it?

Finally, is it just me or is Nicola Sturgeon looking fat these days?

Yours sincerely
