‘Forgive me Father I have sinned’, Labour MP Jim Murphy racks up a £107,000 car bill as Government Minister in a year, did he confess this ‘sin’?

Dear All

We all know by now that Westminster is used by the Labour Party as a gravy train where Labour MPs indulge in a life of complete luxury.

At your expense!

So, how does Former Scottish Secretary Jim Murphy explain running up a bill of £107,000 in one year on Government chauffeur-driven cars?

Do all his car journeys go via the North Pole so he can see the wildlife?

Think about £107,000 a year.

And as Scottish Secretary, he was in a job which frankly doesn’t exist since most of the responsibilities where transferred to Holyrood.

A Labour Spokesman claims that Mr Murphy was one of the hardest- working ministers in the previous government.

In a department which has effectively nothing to do?

I hear that Jim Murphy is a good constituency MP and given his department is a sham; he must have a lot of free time on his hands to work his area which explains why he increased his vote at the Westminster election.

Only the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs was more expensive, at £137,994 on average for each of its two cars in the year leading up to May’s General Election.

Not much comfort to the taxpayer though!

In some places in Glasgow you could buy a flat for that amount.

Just as well the Labour Party got kicked out; the chauffeurs are probably glad of the rest and time to read the paper.

Yours sincerely
