The SNP need to address the 'Central Scotland Question', SNP lost Glasgow East in November 2008, there was a problem not addressed but known

Dear All

If you are a regular reader to this blog you will know I have been returned time and time again to an issue I dub the ‘Central Scotland Question’.

The Central Scotland Question isn’t being addressed by the SNP and the result of the election in Glasgow bears this out.

7 seats up for grabs and the SNP won none of them.

And worse than that, the share of vote compared to the Labour Party was in most cases was poor.

The SNP cannot fight effectively in every part of the City because they don’t have the money, people and resources to make a credible attempt to snatch power.

You can only fight on so many fronts.

On top of that Glasgow SNP needs fight in a difference way and with different policies than the ones that come from SNP HQ.

I will be blunt; some people in the SNP don’t know how to campaign so they don’t make any real impact in their areas.

They don’t campaign on local issues.

They don’t campaign for local organisations.

They don’t campaign for local people.

Surprise surprise no one knows who they are; what they stand for or are even there.

And they wonder why they lose!

Given what happened in Glasgow if things stay the way they are for Glasgow SNP, then at the Holyrood election the Labour Party will win every single first past the post seat in Glasgow.

I said previously the SNP was in danger of losing all seats in Glasgow and was proven correct.

John Mason’s campaign was important, not just for him and his staff but for Glasgow SNP.

Did the SNP recognise this?

I would say no!

If the SNP had taken this serious, they would have recognised and acted to solve the problem which was explained in November 2008 in Glasgow East.

November 2008.

7 months later at the European Election, further proof was available by the result that night at the ballot box.

Did the SNP act then?

No.

So, 17 months before John Mason stood for election the Glasgow East problem could have been addressed and wasn’t.

John Mason isn’t an MP.

But I knew there was a problem 17 months and spoke out.

Why didn’t the SNP put an experienced person to run John Mason’s campaign?

Answer that and stay trendy!

If it was so important why weren’t the best people drafted in from HQ?

So, again, the SNP in Glasgow needs to radically change how it operates.

George Laird was right again.

And I did speak out 17 months ago.

Yours sincerely

Dear Mxyzptlk

I enjoy our little excahnges, your wickedness is a beacon in the political sea.

Each time you have a pop, it reminds me why the Labour Party should be crushed.

You are a bad person.

Enjoy the victory of Glasgow East.

Yours sincerely
