Remember the pathetic campaign by Labour Candidate William Bain about the SNP Government ripping off Glasgow?
Total lies from start to finish, he was trying to deceive the voters in Glasgow North East.
But while Bain and his English Minders lie; the Scottish Government has been continually working to get the best deal for Glasgow.
In that vein a £550 million contract to build Scotland’s largest hospital at the ‘Southern General Hospital’, has been awarded to Australian construction giant Brookfield.
Brookfield beat two other tendered bids to win the contract which will mean a brand new hospital plus construction jobs for local people and money pumped into the Glasgow economy.
This hospital is far more important than the GARL rail link.
William Bain is whinging about how people get to the airport to go on holiday rather than saving lives.
Could William Bain sell GARL to the relatives of the most seriously ill in Glasgow if it meant cancelling this much needed hospital?
This hospital will be entirely funded by the public purse, our money going into our hospital rather than greedy profiteers under Labour.
The new hospital will be state of the art and will include 1100 beds, all in single-room accommodation, and 20 “state-of-the-art” operating theatres.
The SNP Government take the health seriously and recognise particularly the problems that the city’s health record has thrown up.
In a single year the new hospital will have the capacity to treat 110,000 people who come through the door either vertically or horizontally.
The entire cost of the new health village is expected to cost in the region of £842 million pounds in total.
Serious money being used on a serious issue!
While William Bain acts like a child telling lies about Glasgow and health, he can’t escape the facts, the SNP is working.
Luckily for Mr. Bain, a place will be found in the 110,000 slots at A & E if he wishes to cure his OCD problem regarding lying in the morning, noon and night.
